To understand recursion, we must first understand recursion.

Welcome to my home page.

I am Professor for component software and framework design at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland.
I studied Computer Science at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zürich. After completing my master's thesis, I joined the symbolic computation group headed by Professor Gaston Gonnet and worked on the Maple project, implemented parts of the limit algorithm and graduated with a Ph.D. in Computer Science.
From 1995 to 1999 I worked at Oberon microsystems Inc. where I contributed to the BlackBox Component Framework and where I learned a lot about Microsoft's Component Object Model (COM).

In autumn 2001 I got certified as Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform.
